I thought I'd share some of my favorite chicken recipes with ya'll.
Here's the quintessence of Japanese home cooking: an aromatic, protein-rich broth served over rice. Admittedly, Japanese cooking leans heavily on sugar--for a less traditional taste, you could reduce or even omit the sugar. Continue reading...

We had a great time at the Fayette County Fair and the Open Poultry Show. Buster got to ride all the rides, got his face painted and best of all, came home with two tropies for his chickens. We won Reserve Grand Champion Jr. Class with our Rhode Island Red Rooster and Grand Champion Backyard Chicken with our Serama Cockeral. Buster will have his picture posted on the Poultry Press.

CHICKS: Hatching, Rearing,
and Care of Young Poultry
This is the best article I've found so far. It comes from the Polish Breeder's Club Website. There's a couple things I'd do different, but all in all, this explains the process quite thoroughly.
For the small poultry keeper there is the choice of two methods of hatching chicks - natural or artificial. The best idea is to gain experience and confidence in both. Hen eggs take 21 days to hatch, duck and turkey eggs 28 days, most goose eggs 28 - 30 days and Muscovy eggs 32 days. Some very small bantam eggs may be a day early and really large poultry such as Cochins may be a day extra.
